In a bun dance

If I'm going to get something, I usually get it in spades - luck (both kinds), children, clutter, dirty laundry, bright ideas, daft ideas...

143/365 Crocs: not so ugly after all

Boat shoes made by Crocs
Looking down at my feet!
Take a picture of my shoes too, mummy.

What do we know about Crocs then? Erm… Comfy, plastic, wide and ugly.

Maybe that’s how it used to be, but the rubber clog has had a makeover. Now they do all sorts of other footery while still retaining the themes of comfort and plasticness.

This I know because, they sent me a pair of boat shoes to pavement test. And I’m really rather impressed.

Back in the day boat shoes were my everyday footwear, however ill-suited they were to the task. Once dunked you couldn’t get rid of the salt stains and quickly they’d lose their shape and wear down.

Not so with these babies, perfectly durable and so washable you could even fling them in the washing maching if they got whiffy.

Better still, with cutouts around the heel both air and water will flow for added comfort. Did I mention the comfort? Of course they’re comfy.

Nice shoes, thanks Crocs. I’ll be wearing them soon, all I need now is a boat.
