I tried telling him that without practice the likes of David Bowie wouldn’t be who they are. He just said: “Who’s David Bowie?” Clearly I have work to do.

I had to force mine to practice their instruments for a bout a month before they do it without a fuss. They still rarely ask to do it but will often sit down at the piano and just play. When told, it's time to do your practice they now just do it.
