Pie a little lacking in banana so more Offee than anything else |
Crispie cakes |
Is that there’s all this delicious stuff just asking to be scoffed.
I know this seems blindingly obvious, but it’s true. The more I bake, the more I eat. Sigh.
To start with the baking is all about doing something wholesome for my family, out of love you understand.
And indeed there is no more loving gesture for your Sugar Plum than to spend your precious time creating something utterly delicious for them.
No sooner had Boy Two mentioned that he fancied making some chocolate crispie cakes than we were in the supermarket loading the trolley with ingredients. Crispies after all are mostly cereal and that’s healthy, right.? So this is loving him on so many levels.
And while we were there in the emporium of grocery, I spied a tin of condensed milk and imagined a banoffee pie. Banana is fruit and that’s good too. More yummy love for my Sweethearts.
With all this love going around, I couldn’t resist joining in. And here’s where my problem lies (well round my middle actually)…
So I’m going to have to do a bit more exercise to counteract the cake and pie bonus that I’m gathering. Maybe a baking exercise plan could be the answer? A bit of stirring then some squats. Weigh out the ingredients and jog on the spot?
Anyhow, the Panther of News got banoffee, what did your SnuggleBum get?
Whitworths asked very nicely if I’d be happy to do some baking and write some blog posts on their behalf on a commercial basis. It was something of a no brainer.
They are running a series of Twitter competitions to inspire some kitchen magic. To enter, follow @WhitworthsSugar. Each week @WhitworthsSugar will ask their Twitter fans a different baking related question. All you have to do is tweet your answer with the week’s hashtag.
This week it’s #ValentinesDayBaking.
