Margaret Thatcher died today – and everyone’s got an opinion, even those who (impossibly it seems to most of us) hadn’t ever heard of her.
I’m not going to bother adding mine. There’s enough hot air on the subject.
But I haven’t shifted from my view that to celebrate a death, any death, with glee and spite is sickening behaviour. Certainly nothing to be proud of.
The picture? The pearls seemed kind of appropriate, especially as they, and the scarf, are a couple of the very few possessions of mine from those years.
And while I ponder whether I’m now too old to wear pearls ironically and not old enough to wear them for real, enjoy this offering from Twitter.

Loved this post – and that's a fab photo – really like the colours and focus and angle. And I agree it's just plain wrong to be gloating over anyone's death.

Thank you. After all, it's not as if anyone will shift another's view even a single inch with all the opinions.
