That there is the unusual sight of a clean, orderly fridge in the Palace of Bundance. Normally it’s a chaotic thing with dubious looking furriness in its dank corners.
When the Panther of News returned from the Coalface of Truth today and asked how my day was I showed him the cool tidiness. “That it?” He said.
I too had been wondering how I had managed to achieve so little in a whole day at home. But then I thought about how the hours had passed.
As well as the fridge management I made and cleared up three meals, changed several nappies (one bum), wrote a blog post, tidied one desk, washed five loads of laundry, tracked down the source of one nasty smell (weirdly whiffy cushion), baked one cake for Boy Two’s birthday tomorrow, cleaned three toilets (lots of bums), mended one light fitting and wrapped several presents.
Perhaps it’s not such a fruitless day after all.
