Spangles on the water at Drumpellier Park |
Look at that – teamwork making it happen for Boys One, Two and Three |
I took these pictures in Drumpellier Park yesterday. We were there just before the rain and just after a visit to Decathlon.
We went to Decathlon – that palace of Lycra, mansion of gadgets and monument to sporting overambition – on Boy Two’s account.
He’s off to his first under canvas scout camp this weekend and has a list of must-haves, hence the sight of he and I wandering the camping department aisles for ages. Which bed mat was better than the other?
That shop claims to have tents you can put up – or take down in under four minutes. And big tents too. I’m not sure I believe it as the last time the Panther and I tried to erect a tent together it almost ended up in divorce.
However, fresh from our campervan success and prepared to believe claims of easy up, easy down tents, fluffy self inflating mats etc, I’m really envious of Boy Two and his forthcoming tented adventure.
Not, I hasten to add that I want to share my digs with half a dozen 11 year olds, but I am itching to give camping another go.
Yes, I really did say that.
Anyone fancy joining me?

You are so outnumbered by males! Glad you're enthusiastic about camping, but er, no thanks. Am definitely tempted by the campervanning though 🙂
