In a bun dance

If I'm going to get something, I usually get it in spades - luck (both kinds), children, clutter, dirty laundry, bright ideas, daft ideas...

182/365 Things we learned in Charlestown

July 1, 2013 By Ellen

It’s impossible to go to any beach and stay dry.

It’s impossible to go to a beach and not throw stones.

It’s probably best to pick a non-beach picnic spot if you want anything to get eaten.

Charlestown is very pretty and photogenic.

Eclectic would be a good way to describe the Shipwreck Centre there. Mostly in a good way.

Caramelised fig and amaretto makes an excellent ice cream. I may conduct a small study on interesting ice cream flavours. Pah to vanilla.

An episode of Doctor Who was filmed there.

Sometimes the youngest voice speaks the biggest truth.

Boy Three: (loud shouting about nothing much)

The Panther: (shouting) Stop shouting, C- I’m sick of it.

(Silence)

Boy Three: But you just shouted, daddy.
