Traffic jams added to the entertainment of the homeward journey. Once again the lesson is don’t hit the road during the day of a Friday in the summer.
I was somewhat surprised to see a wurzel (or whatever the collective noun is) of scarecrows on sale in a service station south of Birmingham.
