Or you might be perfectly happy with your current role and just want to increase or improve your skills. Whatever goals you have, you don’t need to meet them all next year. This is a brilliant resolution. It should also be a fun one. I mean real, quality time. Which means putting your phone or iPad away. Try playing board games, or going for walks together. Stick to a Savings Plan
While it may not be realistic to keep to large financial goals, small targets can lead to much bigger things. Aim to have a certain amount of debt paid off. Or to save just $5 a week for the whole year. Small attainable targets can chip away at long-term bigger goals, without you even missing the money.
Be More Active
Again, it’s about small goals. Instead of promising yourself you’ll go to the gym three times a week, why not get a Fitbit and try to increase your steps. Or promise yourself you will park further away from work. Small changes can easily lead to a much more active, and healthier lifestyle. Get your family involved, and make a little competition out of it, if that helps you to remain focused.
Be More Positive
We tend to be negative and to worry, often about things we have no control over. Why not make it a resolution to be generally more positive. To try and look on the bright side, and instead of dwelling on problems, build a plan and seek a solution. Small changes to your attitude can make you feel a lot better, and change the views of those around you.
Resolutions to better yourself are great. Choosing something achievable, that you really want, will make you much more likely to succeed.
