Packing
From skin outwards
Pants, socks, bra (sports, comfy, fancier)
Trousers, shorts (blue veins out), t-shirts
What if it’s cold: layers (like an onion)
Waterproof? – it rains in Spain (plainly).
The decision pendulums until the coat stays in the airport carpark.
Skies are blue.
Then, swimming and there’s so much more to consider.
Cover – reveal. Hold in – let go.
A metaphor made of Lycra.
What if?
Mosquitos bite; someone else needs something; boredom strikes (does it ever?).
Now my newest suitcase won’t zip so I pack anxiety that the tatty old one will spill its guts and everyone will see.
