Who do you think you are?
I am the ringmaster of my life
I am so small the universe hardly knows I’m here
I am lucky
I am one
of millions and millions of humans
born screaming, and growing to strive and survive
for a while.
All unique – like me
I am the things they taught me
I am what I saw, what I heard,
where fate flung me, and where I went.
The feelings – the soft loves, the dreads
every smile, every touch on my arm
all the times, clenched, I hid
but pretended I didn’t.
When I told my story,
When I didn’t…
