Question time
As long shadows stretch over fields again,
it’s time
to stop for the day and breathe,
while you wait for bats to come swooping,
forget goals and lists and things that don’t care when it’s sunset,
know you gave it your best
It’s time
to put it all down and ask:
How many smiles did you earn today?
Was there kindness?
Did your little dog’s tail wag in greeting?
Did you notice?
Could you feel weather feel on your skin?
Was it warm?
Are the swallows here yet?
How did it feel to be you in this day?
Was there joy?
