Breast Check – Breast awareness is as easy as TLC (Touch Look Check) from Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Vimeo.
Be breast aware. Ha ha ha. It seems impossible not to be breast aware. Bosoms are everywhere; boobs spill out at us, on posters, nearly in frocks and on the fronts of every celeb throughout the alphabetical list.
Tits are the butt (weirdly) of many jokes, women with big ones hate the attention and women with small ones are envious. Men find them fascinating in a way women simply cannot fathom.
But how much attention do you really pay to your own norks? Do you really know your funbags like you ought to? I’m talking breast cancer – you know, we do fun things to raise money and older/other/younger women get it. In my case, once I’ve seen to it that my pair are dressed and under control, not very much.
But we all need to give our knockers some TLC. Right now, if it’s appropriate.
*Shuffles feet*
OK, all done now. You need to do up your buttons at the back there.
But once isn’t enough, we need to give the girls some TLC regularly.
That’s Touch Look Check in case you hadn’t got it yet. And regularly. You could do it every Sunday night, or on the first of the month pinch-punch style. How about every time you place an online shopping order, or when you charge your phone? It doesn’t really matter as long as it’s regular and you don’t forget.
Of course you could have an app for that. Breakthrough Breast Cancer has lots of helpful stuff including email reminders and an ibreastcheck gadget for your ithing.
You shouldn’t wait until you are eligible for the NHS breast screening programme and you shouldn’t stop bothering when you come out of the other end of the programme.
Your hooters, your responsibility – so show them some TLC.
Meantime, pop over and say hello to the lovely Audrey Birt who actually got me to stop and think about this instead of just putting on another pink t-shirt and going on a fundraising walk.

Good reminder Ellen, haven't done this in… too long to remember! Also enjoyed your post on the dangers of the internet (& advice being given from people who… shall we say might not be the most up-to-date) and am even considering forking out for the New Media Breakfast in Edinburgh… Nice blog, lady!
