Lovely. We used to see these when we lived in the suburbs of Paris. Of course we only ever see grey ones here.

Thanks. This one visited my mum's bird table in Cumbria this morning.

Cracking photo. Cumbria is a haven for the reds as we have witnessed when staying in the lake district (Going for my fix at Easter). There are notices up around Penrith/Greystoke to report sightings of grey squirrels. Presumably this is not to have their photies taken!

That's a great squirrel photo. And a red squirrel too – excellent

Rab, this was just outside Penrith. They had had red squirrel visitors a couple of years ago but none for a while until this youngster appeared a week or two ago.

    Moiderer, thanks.

We are regular visitors to Penrith (great place with lots of independent shops and pubs/restaurants) and we're going to Center Parcs at Easter (2nd mortgage to do so) We have also stayed at Greystoke and several places roonaboot. Right on the borders of the Lake district too. We feel right at home there. Ever been to the Italian Restaurant (upstairs near the market square?) it's excellent!

If I had to be something I'd say I was Cumbrian. My family is from Penrith. At Centre Parcs if you look north east and see a red-roofed house in some trees, give my mum a wave.
